We Produce Grads Announcement at EBR School Board Meeting



Recognition of the Brookstown Middle School Aquaponics Lab at the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board Meeting held on March 15, 2018. Mr. Ronnie Morris shared the story of how the pilot Aquaponics program at Brookstown Middle has grown over the past year and showed appreciation to all of the community partners involved in the program.


Principal James Smith and a few of the Aquaponics students prepared the Board members with some lettuce grown in the lab, packaged and branded by the students of the Digital Media department at Brookstown Middle.


Mr. Ronnie also publicly announced that with the vision from his wife, Allyson Morris, that they would be establishing the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, We Produce Grads, which would continue to support Brookstown Middle with future expansion of the program at the neighboring, Istrouma High School.


The Aquaponic students, Mrs. Lauraleigh Eddleman (Aquaponics teacher), Principal James Smith, and Mr. Ronnie Morris all received a Recognition Award from the EBR School Board.
